Lecture Series – Around Byzantium

As part of the lecture series “Around Byzantium,” the Byzantine and Christian Museum invites you on Thursday, May 22, at 6:00 p.m., to a lecture to be held at the Auditorium of the Byzantine and Christian Museum.

Lecture topic:
“Homoousios with the Father: 1,700 Years since the First Ecumenical Council and the Entry of Christianity into the Age of Canon.”

Constantinos Ioannou, Adjunct Lecturer in Byzantine History at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, offers a historical approach to the First Ecumenical Council, placing it within the context of the early process of normalization in the history of ideas.
