Visit of the President of the Republic of Malta
On Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 13.00-13.55, the President of the Republic of Malta Mr. George William Vella and his wife, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism of Malta, Mr. Clayton Bartolo and the Ambassador of Malta in Athens, Mr. Joseph Cuschieri, visited the Byzantine & Christian Museum confirming the historical ties between the two countries.
The President of Malta was invited by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou in the context of Greece-Malta bilateral relations in areas such as trade, tourism, shipping, climate change, renewable energy sources and immigration.
The official guest of Greece and his entourage were guided to the permanent exhibition by the General Director of the Byzantine & Christian Museum, Mrs. Ekaterini P. Dellaporta, and the President of the Administrative Council, Professor Mr. George Panetsos.
