FREE ENTRANCE TO THE MUSEUM ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 5TH 2023

First Sunday of the month tomorrow and the entrance to the museum is free for everyone!


Come alone, with your friends or your family to enjoy your visit both at the permanent and the temporary exhibitions of the Museum:


The temporary photographic exhibition of the world-renowned and multi-award-winning architectural and landscape photographer Erieta Attali titled: WOODSCAPES / ERIETA ATTALI ON KENGO KUMA exhibited on display since June 16th 2023 and is extended until spring 2024. The exhibition focuses on the wooden architectural structures by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, found scattered from the most remote parts of Japan to the centre of Paris.


The temporary exhibition “ARS THEATRALIS” by the architect Manos Perrakis, inaugurated on September 27, 2023. With the “ARS THEATRALIS” exhibition, the architect Manos Perrakis, who was awarded the Gold Medal at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, is introduced to the general public through his work that spans 60 years and numbers 26 theatres and some of the country¢s most significant museums.

The exhibition will temporarily be open to the public from 08:30 to 13:00.


The SCULPTURE EXHIBITION by the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece, that opened its gates to the public on October 6, 2023 and will last until tomorrow, November 5, 2023. Held outdoors (in the courtyard of the Duchess of Plaisance Mansion) for the sixth consecutive year, the exhibition constitutes one of the most important cultural nuclei in the country. This year, the no-theme exhibition presents 101 medium-sized and large sculptures, created during the last five years. Hence, art lovers and museum visitors will be acquainted with the latest artistic production in sculpture.
At the premises of the Byzantine and Christian Museum, free Wi-Fi access is provided to the visitors.

The gardens of the Byzantine & Christian Museum are an oasis in the heart of the city. Seating areas are provided under the fruit trees, surrounded by aromatic herbs and fountains.

Make a stop by the café-bistro located in the garden of the Museum, in the shadow of the Palace of the Duchess of Plaisance. In a pleasant and peaceful environment you¢ll enjoy coffee, dessert or a meal.
