European Day of Cultural Heritage Conservation 2025 at the Byzantine and Christian Museum
The activities of the Byzantine and Christian Museum held in the context of the celebration of the European Day of Cultural Heritage Conservation 2025 (13–19 October) were successfully completed.
Throughout the week, visitors had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the multifaceted work of the Department of Conservation of Antiquities, Works of Art and Archaeometry, through special guided tours and presentations focusing on the conservation of wall paintings, manuscripts, icons, paintings, and glass objects.
The activities were carried out in small groups, in specially arranged areas of the Museum¢s conservation laboratories, offering a rare experience and insight into the methods, materials, and principles of the science of conservation.
👉 We warmly thank everyone who participated in and supported this year¢s celebration, contributing to the promotion of the importance of protecting and highlighting our cultural heritage.
